Marine Insurance Seminar Successfully Held in Yantai in 2012
On 3rd Aug 2012, “2012 Marine insurance seminar” was solemnly held in orient haitian hotel in Yantai, Shandong province which was co-sponsored by the New World P&I Service and Dalian Maritime University Law School, and co-organized by China Ping An Property Insurance Co.,Ltd.
The meeting invited relevant departments and personnel to the seminar which include Yantai Maritime Bureau, Yantai Salvage Bureau, Dalian Maritime University Law School, Queensland of Group Insurance Co.,LTD(QBE),American P&I Club(API), related leaders, experts and around 100 shipowners in Wei Hai, Yantai and Qingdao area.
At the meeting, the general manager Mr.Qiaogang spoke on behalf of all staff to express welcome to ladies and gentlemen, and made a speech with the subject “Service creates success, sincere molded future”.
Mr. Zhou Jinhua and Ms. Tang Xiaohong from QBE, president of Dalian Maritime University law school Shan Hongjun, Mr. Zhang Hongkai from Feiran law firm, Mr. Jia Chunlin From China Ping An Property Insurance underwriting department, Mr. Sun Lihua from API Shanghai representative office, and Mr. Yuanjun from China Ping An Property Insurance claim department individually made speeches with the subject on the development strategy of marine insurance, P&I insurance, how to avoid the maritime risk and how to reduce the loss after the occurrence of risk, etc.
At the meeting, the shares of scholars and specialists were simple but profound, lively and informative, and were warmly welcomed by the participant shipowners. The shipowners all express that the meeting have deepen their understanding of risk control, effectively promoted their own management and operation ability, will help them to grasp the market operation more accurately and better cooperate with insurance companies.
It was reported that the meeting provided a good platform for exchanges and cooperation within maritime personnel in Yantai, Weihai, Qingdao area. During the tea break, participant shipowners actively communicated with each other, shared experience and resisted risk jointly.
The meeting made a great success under the strong support of Yantai Maritime Bureau, Yantai Salvage Bureau, insurance companies, P&I Club and shipowners in Yantai, Weihai, and Qingdao area.
